Not sure what to update? I can help you decide.

You don't need a finished list to get started. Many business owners know their website needs work but aren't sure where to begin.

I can review your site and suggest what to update first, such as information that's out of date, pages that don't answer the questions customers ask, services that aren't mentioned, or wording that doesn't sound like you. My marketing and SEO background means the suggestions focus on what helps customers choose you and helps search engines understand what you do.

You decide what gets done, and I take care of the rest.

Why it matters

Your website should keep up with your business

Businesses change all the time. Websites often don't. When your site falls behind, customers notice:

  • Hours or prices that aren't right anymore
  • A new service nobody knows you offer
  • Photos that don't look like your business today
  • Common questions with no answer on the page

Accurate, well-organized content helps customers decide to reach out. It also gives search engines a clearer picture of what you do and where you do it. Updates alone won't guarantee better rankings, but outdated or missing information works against you.

Questions, answered

Website update FAQs

How much does it cost to have someone update my website?

Website updates start at $75, and the final price depends on the scope of the changes. Larger projects, like several new pages or a content refresh, get a custom quote. Either way, you'll know the cost before any work starts.

Can I hire someone to make changes to my existing website?

Yes, that's exactly what this service is for. You keep your current website, and I make the changes you need, whether it's one small fix or a longer list.

Do I have to give you my website password?

Usually not. Most platforms, including WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, and Shopify, let you add me as a separate user or editor, which is the safer option. I'll walk you through it, and you can remove my access at any time.

What website platforms do you work with?

I work with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, GoDaddy Website Builder, and Shopify for basic content edits. If your site is built on something else, send me the link and I'll let you know if I can help.

How quickly can you make website updates?

It depends on the request and my schedule at the time. I'll include a timeline with your quote, so you know what to expect before anything starts.

Can you add a new page to my website?

Yes. I can add service pages, landing pages, FAQ pages, and more, set up to match the look of your existing site. If you need help with what the page should say, I can write it, including service descriptions, FAQs, and other website copy.

Do you offer one-time updates or monthly website maintenance?

Most work is done as one-time updates, whenever you need them. If you'd like ongoing help keeping your site current, that's available by request. Either way, the focus is your content, not technical maintenance like plugin updates or backups.

What's the difference between website updates and a website redesign?

Updates improve the website you already have: new content, better wording, fresh photos, and small layout changes. A redesign rebuilds the site's look and structure from scratch, which isn't part of this service. If your project needs a full redesign, I can connect you with a trusted web design partner.

How often should I update my website?

Any time something about your business changes, like your hours, services, prices, or team. Beyond that, a quick review every few months helps you catch outdated information before customers do. If you're not sure what's out of date, I can take a look and let you know.

Do you handle website security, backups, and plugin updates?

No. This service covers your website's content. Security monitoring, backups, plugin and software updates, and hosting are best handled by your hosting company or a web developer, and I'm happy to point you in the right direction.

Have a list of website changes you've been putting off?

Send it my way. I'll take a look and let you know how I can help.
